The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide professional medical services to adults and HIV positive individuals; examine and treat chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses; performs selected laboratory testing; offer referrals to physicians, write prescriptions, and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
Position will serve as quality assurance coordinator over other clinic personnel within the Health Center. Complete documentation of all activities must be provided. This position will assist the Chief Medical Officer and other senior staff in developing clinical services and accessing other funding sources. Position will have access to the Chief Medical Officer and other participating medical providers to confer, regarding patient treatment and other matters related to medical service. Coordinate activities with the Chief Medical Officer.
