The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Analyst is responsible for all staff training on the use of the eClinicalWorks program. This individual will be responsible for the initial and on-going training at various levels of clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure the users are optimizing system functionality. Determines training objectives, creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training. Configures the training environment to ensure users can practice using EMR software both inside and outside of the clinic. Designs and delivers new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades. A primary purpose of this position is to ensure users are appropriately trained as they work towards achieving regulatory requirements. This position will also provide support and be a resource to the Information Technology (IT) staff in resolving user issues related to system use and/or functionality. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: eClinicalWorks administrator related duties – 50% Serves as EHR Program Administrator, ordering all new provider’s licenses, and addingall new employees to the system; also deleting all termed employees from the system. Responsible for the project management, communications, planning, testing,development, installation, training, and maintenance of the full eClinicalWorks EHR andintegrated patient engagement application suite. Maintains knowledge of SHR’s standard configurations and clinic/provider specifictemplates and customization. Conducts observations of users in their work environment to identify areas forimprovement and suggestions for workflow redesign. eClinicalWorks training related duties – 50% Develops and updates all training materials for EHR training classes. Conducts training for new clinical users including providers, nursing and support staff,and residents. Conducts one-on-one training sessions to refresh knowledge of users as needs areidentified or when requested. Maintains a knowledge base to document specific training needs and concerns related tothe applications. Performs other duties as assigned. |
